What counts as a scan?
One teardown of one URL: a documented design system (tokens, section structure) plus a build brief, read from how the page actually looks and not just its code, so it catches what a scraper misses: the real primary button, a centered vs split hero, and the decorative imagery with prompts to recreate it as originals. Usually under a minute. Free includes 5 a month, Indie 100, Studio 400.
Can I scan from my agent (MCP/API)?
Yes, on every plan including free. Point any MCP-capable agent (Claude, Cursor, Codex, and others) at the uiscanner server. The first scan opens your browser to connect your account, with no key to paste. Paid plans just raise your monthly scan count. For CI or headless runs, drop in a uix_ API key instead.
What happens if I run out of scans?
Your quota runs on a rolling 30-day window, so it tops back up as older scans age out. Need more now? Upgrade for a higher allowance: Indie includes 100 scans a month and Studio 400.
What if a scan fails?
You are not charged for a teardown you can't use. If a scan can't finish, we refund the quota or credit automatically, so a failed scan never costs you anything.
Can I use this to match my own brand?
Yes, and it's one of the best ways to use it. Scan your own marketing site once, then point your agent at that teardown so every AI-built app screen, dashboard, or new page matches your tokens, type scale, and spacing. It's the opposite of cloning a competitor: you make your own product consistent with itself.
How does yearly billing work?
Yearly is billed at 10× the monthly price, so two months are free. Cancel anytime and changes take effect at the end of the period.
Do you re-host the sites I scan?
No, and that's by design. We extract the system, not the brand: we describe and tokenize the design, then link back to the original. No copied assets, no re-hosted bytes, and the work you build from the tokens is your own.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Manage everything from your dashboard's billing portal: upgrade, downgrade, or cancel. No email required.
